　　里中晴春（木村拓哉 饰），某企业旗下冰球队的头牌队员兼队长，深受队友的喜爱，对待感情则是玩世不恭的态度。村濑亚树（竹内结子 饰），晴春所处公司的职员，男友出国两年，音讯全无，而亚树则一直默默等候着他的归来。这样的2人在酒吧里的邂逅了。亚树引起了晴春的兴趣，在晴春的攻势下，亚树答应成为其“契约女友”，一旦亚树的正牌男友回归，这段恋爱就宣告结束。
　　而冰球队这边，晴春一直尊敬的安西教练（时任三郎 饰）身患重病，队里聘请了新的教练兵头雄一郎（佐藤浩市 饰），晴春对新教练产生了强烈的抵触情绪，而队上的麻烦事不断。被邀来观看比赛的亚树起初觉得比赛过于残暴，但到后来也被其吸引，成为了晴春力量的源泉。一出运动与恋爱的故事在汗水与泪水里交织上演……
